Soaring Toward Success!

Why do we do Flight 707?
- ISD #314 is always looking to improve academic instruction.
- Better prepared teaching teams = a better experience for students.
- The teacher’s day will begin at 7:07 a.m. on Mondays with teachers and other staff members engaged in work devoted to improving academic performance.
How will these days (Mondays) be different?
- Student days will begin one hour later on Mondays (9:00 a.m. vs 8:00 a.m.).
- HS class periods will be adjusted to 44 minutes vs the ‘regular’ 49 minutes and there will be no opening advisory period as occurs on other week days. Elementary class schedules will also be adjusted.
May I drop my child off early?
- See page two of this document for Flight 707 Care (Grades K-6) information.
- HS students (Grades 7-12) may not enter the building until 8:30 a.m. (at the earliest) and must report to the commons or stay near the front doors.
Will any instructional time be lost?
- *No. Due to modifications of the student schedule and the addition of two student contact days (within the regular school year - this will NOT extend the school year), there is no loss of instructional time.
- *This is true for students taking classes at ISD #314. Students taking classes through other instructors (ECMECC, live online, PSEO, College) may have instructional time impacted on Mondays.
