If your child is sick it can sometimes be difficult to tell if it is something that should keep them home from school. These guidelines can help you determine the correct course of action. In general, keep your child home from school if any of the following occurs:
A fever of 100 degrees or more within the past 24 hours
Vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours
A rash for which you do not know the cause
Uncontrollable cough
Not feeling well enough to participate in school
