Retiring School Board Members Lowell Luebeck, left, and Dan Klemz, right, attended their final board meeting on Monday, December 19, 2011.

School Board Chair Steven Eklund presented outgoing school board members Lowell Luebeck, 12 years of service, and Dan Klemz, 8 years of service, with Certificates of Appreciation and spoke of their dedication and outstanding service to the Braham Area Schools’ parents, students and employees. Outgoing school board member Craig Hammond, 4 years of service, was absent from the meeting due to illness, but will receive a certificate as well.

“All three spent numerous hours and nights serving the board, both at the regular meetings and for their committee responsibilities, helping make our schools better,” said Eklund.
Once again the mitten tree was a huge success! This year we collected 323 items which included: mittens, hats, scarves, and food donations. We also had a total of $100 worth of cash donations. Each year the collected items and cash donations are brought to the Braham Food Shelf, were they are distributed to families in the Braham area who are in need this holiday season!
